Valencia students roll out the red carpet

ORLANDO, FLA.:

Valencia East students roll out the red carpet. Once a semester Valencia East’s Student Government Association (SGA), holds a movie night for the students and community.

This terms’ ran on Oct, 24th with a Hollywood red-carpet theme and the feature film “Swing Vote” starring Kevin Costner.

“The Movie said a lot about staying true to your own opinions,” said Nathan of Lake Wales.

There was free pizza, hotdogs and cookies, as well as games and prizes for participants.

“It’s great, kids are having a ball,” said Dan of Orlando.

Valencia SGA coordinates the event, this year Octavius King, SGA Senator of Marketing and Finance took the reins in the preparation and presentation of the show.

King said of the event. “Great turnout,” and “Just to see them happy, makes me happy.”

The selection of the film was handled in September by student survey. The winner was “Dark Knight” Which turned out to be unavailable. Swing Vote was procured instead, as it was ranked 2nd in the same survey.
